AYELEN LUTZ, M; MERINO, Mariano L; DIAZ, M. Mónica y JENSEN, Roberto F. First records of Myotis ruber (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae) in Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires provinces, Argentina. Mastozool. neotrop. [online]. 2012, vol.19, n.2, pp.163-178. ISSN 0327-9383.
M. ruber is an endemic species of South America known from east and south of Brazil, southeastern Paraguay, northeastern Argentina, and Uruguay. In Argentina there are records from Formosa, Misiones, Corrientes and Santa Fe provinces. This species is poorly known and inadequately represented in systematic collections. Here, we report the first records of M. ruber for Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires provinces, Argentina, increasing the number of localities for the country and extending its southern distributional limits 320 km in association with gallery forests.
