Resumen

SAN MARTIN, Luisa Graciela. The problem of food access in contemporary times: some notes to defeminize food. Trab. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.40, pp.359-374.  Epub 01-Ene-2023. ISSN 1514-6871.

The proposal seeks to analized possible relationships between the problem food access and the womenmand other femenities "role" in terms of care: It is necessary to recognize that while food is obtained through monetized subsistence resources, the mechanisms for provision are feminized and unpaid. In this paper is inferred that the problem of food (in its access, consumption and effects) as well as in its "responses" (in the framework of state, community and/or family action) is feminized.

The mandates of gender responsibility in food management, in accordance with nutritional standards, development strategies to access food, are some of the configurations of this problem, which impact in the productive process of domestic work. Likewise, women in the community lead actions aimed at promoting and specifying the slogans of food security and sovereignty.

This work aims to demonstrate -at least preliminarily- the centrality areas of femininities in the attention to the problem of food access private and public, as a modest contribution to the defeminization of food and the vindication of state policies demands of state policies with this perspective.

Palabras clave : food; gender; care; public policies.
