Resumen

DUO, María de los Ángeles. Families of vulnerable sectors processes of moralization. Trab. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.40, pp.375-380.  Epub 01-Ene-2023. ISSN 1514-6871.

The reflections of this article are based on the tension of the interventions of the family courts and the considerations of the organization of care that are established in the different family groups according to the social position that each one occupies in the social structure. To reveal if they are oriented to support or punitive actions.

Aspects of the care economy will be addressed, a perspective that analyzes the organization of care for the members of a society in relation to the functioning of the economic system, based on the division of productive and reproductive labor, as well as the sexual division of labor.

Within care, "parenting" is inscribed as a subcategory with relevant particularities for social organization and reproduction, since, for the provision of care, there is a social distribution that is organized at two levels: intra-family and extra-family. At both levels, it is a generically defined task, which has involved the naturalization of the belief that women possess specific knowledge, leaving reproduction as the sphere of configuration of their identity.

The scenario becomes even more complex in adverse socioeconomic conditions, since the income distribution of people determines the possibility of receiving or not receiving care, and its quality.

The analysis could favor interventions that contemplate the particularities and singularities of family groups, to appreciate the possible conditions of upbringing of said scenario, and the necessary articulation of the intervention of the State in the guarantee of the Rights of children and adolescents.

Palabras clave : care economy; parenting; feminization; family paradigm; moralization.
