This article analyzes the updating of the processes of enclosure and dispossession carried out by capital and their impact on communities of native peoples in the department of Malargüe, province of Mendoza (Argentina), during the period 1990-2021. Based on documentary sources and on an ethnographic work that recovers testimonies of the Mapuche-Pehuenche organization 'Malalweche' in the south of the province, it analyzes the ongoing mining and oil processes and the responses arising from the indigenous reorganization and its economic-territorial dimension. The text concludes that the subsistence goat economy is the result of a type of political organization that seeks to strengthen the indigenous autonomy of the territory.
