As a contribution to studies on educational inequality, we consider, from a Bourdieusian perspective, characterising the structural relations between secondary schools as instruments of social reproduction in the city of Córdoba. To this purpose, we constructed the social space of secondary schools and created typologies of schools according to their topological proximity, which has a double potential: to show the structure of this space in one of the most important cities in Argentina and to propose an unprecedented methodology for the analysis of educational systems. A typology of six classes of schools was obtained, distinguished mainly by the management sector, with its differentiated endowment of pedagogical and technological resources, age, size of the establishments, location in the urban space and characteristics of the student body. This methodological strategy thus reveals its potential for future thinking in the field of secondary schools and comparison with other levels and other social fields.
