Resumen

GARZON ROGE, Mariana. From Radicals to Peronists: making an experienced political option. Andes [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.1, pp.00-00. ISSN 1668-8090.

This article aims to revisit the classic topic of the origins of Peronism. It explores how political options were made trying to capture the particular meanings they had for the actors involved and the experiences that led them to choose whom they support. The case studied refers Radicals who became Peronists in the province of Mendoza during 1945. The principal argument is that many political options occurred in a relational manner through interaction, while their protagonists produced themselves. The paths to take, from this perspective, did not preexist as such to the particular sequence of events. They were created in political activity and in a context, which was lived intensely and heterogeneously. The hypothesis states that if actors in similar conditions made divergent choices it is because they attributed different meanings to what they were doing and because the everyday forms of politics shaped them in a contrastive manner.

Palabras clave : Radicals; Peronists; Experienced politics; Mendoza.
