Based on the context of a city in fast and significant transformation as Rio de Janeiro was during the period in question, this article discusses the nature of Galician immigrants who inhabited the Santo Antonio Parish between 1880 and 1930. Likewise, based on the analysis of the relevant documentation, it debates the form of social integration these immigrants had in the space in question, their professional activities, operational niches and difficulties found in that city area. The article seeks to intersect these immigrants' data in their home sites with data from the occupation of these Galician people this carioca parish.
