The purpose of this work is to know mainly the repercussion of alcoholism on superior functions, the ingestion pathological pattern (I.P.P.) and the consumption way (C.W.) in the region, considering population which demand medical assistance in hospitals. For this descriptive research, we used random samplings among patients aged 17-55, where subjects for this research DSM IV criteria for alcohol ingestion were respected. The methods were condensed in a typical clinical history to which neurological evaluation by systems was enclosed Ingestion of Pathological Patterns (I.P.P.) and ways of consumption (Labriola/Kalina, 1993); Superior Functions, "Miniexams of the mental State" (Folstein M. and Folstein S., 1975, modified by Lobo and col., 1985) As well as "Constructive Praxias" (Barbizet and Ph. Duizabo, 1978). It is important the repercussion of Superior Functions Language (syntax, 29%) and others, 50%, 69% in Praxias it is difficult and reinforced and 55, 88% of them present cognitive disorders. The results in Superior Functions give a vision of an important part of the systems and allow objectify harm and a better understanding on biobehaviour also in I.P.P. and W. of C.
