The emergence and development of Communities Therapeutic (CT) as collisions of addictive disorders are closely related with social movements, political, economic and scientists who set out with the decline of the positivist paradigm. The drugs are known as narcotics, addiction and mental illness are made as of the time. This essay intends to conduct a literature course on the origins of Communities Therapeutic in the treatment of addictions, developing the theoretical and methodological assumptions that are organized in the TC approaches that are considered pioneers in the treatment of people affected by drug addiction, well as to discuss the historical dimensions-social science makes possible the creation of them.
