ATANASIO, Marcos A.; PERNOCHI, Lorena S.; BURDYN, Belen y GUEVARA, Graciela. Efectos del control inicial de malezas sobre el crecimiento de Prosopis alba Griseb. en el departamento Comandante Fernández, Chaco Argentina. RIA. Rev. investig. agropecu. [online]. 2021, vol.47, n.1, pp.110-115. Epub 12-Mayo-2021. ISSN 1669-2314.
Initial weeds control efficiency with different herbicides and its effect on the growth of Prosopis alba trees were studied during the first months of planting. The test was installed on a soil with a heavy texture on the surface and subsoil (Argiustol údico), using a randomized design with 5 treatments and 5 repetitions. The percentage of weed control was observed at 14, 28, 62, 91, 130 and 153 days after the application (DAA). The collar diameter (CD) and total height were measured at 1, 3 and 10 months of age. The treatment with Diclosulam 84 gr was the most efficient, reaching more than 80% of weed control until 5 months after the application. Statistically significant differences were found between the different weed control treatments and their interaction with the measurement period, in the analysis of CD and total height, which reached growths of 20.7 and 21.9% higher than the control without application, respectively, at 10 months of age. The initial control of weeds using herbicides significantly increased the growth in diameter and height of Prosopis alba plants.
