GARCIA SANCHEZ, Carlos. Approaches to Gilbert Simondon’s theory of individuation: Criticism of the philosophical tradition, the question of relationship and the commitment to an ethics of becoming. Enfoques [online]. 2022, vol.34, n.1, pp.59-85. ISSN 1669-2721.
The following paper aims to explain Gilbert Simondon’s theory of individuation from: (a) the theory of individuation as a critique of traditional philosophy, (b) the notions of information and relation and (c) the ethics of becoming. In the first part, Heidegger’s critique of the model of truth as an adaptation to the foundations of Simondon’s ontology is compared. In the following section, the concept of individuation is interpreted from concepts such as relation and information. The last part compares the ethics of becoming that Simondon defends with Levinas ethics.
