Resumen

LOBAYAN, S.I. et al. Hallazgo de Fasciola hepatica en búfalos faenados en Misiones (Argentina). Rev. vet. [online]. 2016, vol.27, n.1, pp.66-67. ISSN 1669-6840.

The objective of this report is to inform the finding of hepatic distomatosis in buffaloes slaughtered in San Jose (Apostoles, Misiones, Argentina). For this purpose, livers were inspected by sectioning of the biliary canaliculi and the parenchyma of the organ to verify the presence of Fasciola hepatica specimens, as well as coprological analysis to evidence eggs of the trematode. Adult specimens of the parasite were found, although macroscopic lesions were not evidenced in the livers. The qualitative coprology revealed the presence of F. hepatica eggs. Considering the existence of the intermediary guest in the region, the need of epizootiological surveillance for the southeastern area of Misiones in order to avoid the expansion of this zoonoses, is emphasized.

Palabras clave : buffaloe; Fasciola hepatica; Misiones; Argentina.
