Abstract. This publication aims to present new records of a parasite-host association between ticks (Acari: Ixodidae) and the Axis axis deer in Argentina. Sampling was conducted in Mercedes, Corrientes, Argentina, and identified ticks collected from two male specimens of A. axis were identified as two parthenogens, twelve nymphs, one neogina, and four males of Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus. This work unveils the first recorded instance of R. microplus adults and nymphs infesting the A. axis in Argentina.
