Resumen

PELAZ FLORES, Diana. The Queen's Household in the Iberian Peninsula in the XIVth century through the example of Eleanor of Castile, queen of Aragon. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2017, vol.16, n.1, pp.00-00. ISSN 1669-9041.

The study of Royal households constitutes one of the main historiographical topics in order to understand the functioning of the Court society and the power networks. The Queen's Household has also captured the historiographical interest throughtout the last years. However, there are many questions which still need to be answered, related with its composition and the meaning of social strategies perceived through the documentation. This article looks for the approach to the study of the Queen's Household through the case of the entourage of Eleanor of Castile, Queen of Aragon. To do this, we will focus our analysis around the preserved documentation of the last months of her reign next to Alfonso IV.

Palabras clave : Eleanor of Castile; Queen's Household; Iberian Peninsula; Crown of Aragon; Queenship.
