The text addresses the analysis of the concept of servant in the court of Philip IV through the study of two key figures who were directly linked to the service and the public management of honor: Diego Barreiro, King of Arms of Philip IV and Francisco Gómez de Arévalo, who served first Felipe IV, and Charles II, afterwards. We are aiming to propose a limited study of the role of both as King´ servants in their functions as nobility officers and not so much as agents linked with the palatine services in ceremonies.
