Resumen
CARRANZA, Eugenia. Análisis tafonómico de conjuntos líticos de superficie en la costa norte del golfo San Matías (Rio Negro, Argentina). Intersecciones antropol. [online]. 2017, vol.18, n.1, pp.91-101. ISSN 1850-373X.
This paper explores formational processes and their implications for the archaeological record of six locations on the northern coast of San Matias Gulf, Río Negro, Argentina. To this end, a comparative framework is used to analyze surface lithic assemblages from sites located in two geological formations: dunes and terraces. The results indicate that assemblages do not record significant differences in the intensity of alteration between geoforms. On the contrary, variability is recorded on a smaller scale within each geoform, which indicates the importance of incorporating different scales in studying formational processes and recording their effects on the variability of the assemblages under study.
