The aim of this study was to identify the conceptions of licenciandos of Natural Sciences Faculty UnB Planaltina (DF), Brazil, in teaching the subject of Health Education, analyze and discuss the inclusion of this issue in the proposed curriculum future Masters. For this, a questionnaire was administered to 55 university students from the 3rd and 4th year of the degree. Moreover, the political-pedagogical project and the subjects of compulsory and elective carreas that make up the curriculum of the course was analyzed. The results obtained during the investigation indicates limited conceptions of health education, dominated by a traditional approach. The results also show that a broader discussion of the theme for Health Education is not present in the course. We argue that the existence of a health education focused on a critical spirit of reality must be present in schools, and it is therefore essential that the science teacher is well prepared from their initial training.
