Resumen

MILEVICICH, Liliana  y  LOIS, Alejandro. Interdisciplinariedad: Un aspecto clave en la formación actual del ingeniero. Rev. iberoam. tecnol. educ. educ. tecnol. [online]. 2014, n.14, pp.37-46. ISSN 1851-0086.

The disciplinary paradigm inherited from the period of classical science was established in the nineteenth century, particularly with the formation of modern universities. Thus, scientific knowledge was conceived for a long time, and still is often in higher ducation, as having the  mission to dispel the apparent complexity of phenomenas, in order to highlight the simplicity that characterizes them. The interdisciplinary was born in orden to note that the approach to the world through a particular discipline was biased and generally too limited; opens the possibility of sharing problems, address them from different perspectives and the formation of new disciplines. The competence to solve problems with analysis and synthesis capacity, as expressed in the standards for the accreditation of the Engineering careers, remains as one of the most deeply rooted problems in higher education. To walk the academic path towards an integrated way to address scientific knowledge leads to take away from the preconceptions of everyday life and build a conceptual space to provide another model of the world. A model that takes into account the social and historical processes.
