TRIGUEROS, Artemisa; COMPAGNONI, Mabel  y  TORO, Larisa. Virtual Education with First Year Engineering Students in Times of Compulsory Social Isolation. Rev. iberoam. tecnol. educ. educ. tecnol. [online]. 2021, n.28, pp.310-317. ISSN 1851-0086.

Faced with the need to continue providing an education of excellence within the framework of social isolation, the National University of La Matanza (UNLaM), incorporated teaching mediated by ICT. This article presents information related to the experience of taking subjects incorporating the virtual teaching modality as a consequence of the pandemic, during the first semester of 2020, through the results of a survey conducted among the students of the ICT Fundamentals chair corresponding to the first year of engineering careers at UNLaM. The research carried out examined the assessment of the students in relation to the pedagogical tools provided by the new technologies, inquired about the perception of the students referred to the synchronous interaction with the teacher, collected the appreciation of the students in relation to the advantages and disadvantages of the virtual modality of the course and provided details regarding different aspects related to the experience of studying a first-year engineering subject through the virtual modality in times of compulsory social isolation. It is concluded that a pedagogical proposal supported by an adequate use of technological platforms made possible a satisfactory trajectory of the virtual teaching process.
