ARRUE, Carola y ELICHIRY, Nora E.. Situated learning, activity and interactivity: An analysis of play workshops in primary school. Anu. investig. [online]. 2014, vol.21, n.1, pp.65-73. ISSN 1851-1686.
In this paper we introduce some of the results of the research project "School learning support systems. The case of play workshops in the classroom". We study the relationships between children`s different participation and knowledge appropriation spaces. We conducted the fieldwork in play workshops performed on a weekly base in 1st to 3rd year classrooms of 2 primary schools. The schools were State - run and were located in a marginalized area of Buenos Aires city suburbs. The enquiries had a qualitative design. We did informal and in depth interviews, participatory observations and data collection through non intrusive procedures. The analysis shows the negotiations and redefinitions through which the workshops were co-constructed as activity systems, establishing continuity and discontinuity relationships with school's functioning logic and becoming "transitional spaces" apt for the "weaving" and construction of knowledge.
