The main goal of this work is to unravel the net of relations characterizing the rituals of initiation/baptism in which freshmen of the career in physical education are subjected to. In order to do so we will expose the socialization patterns and the symbols that are at stake in  rituals of community regeneration. This work is the result of observations and interviews made during the decade 2003-2012. In conclusion, practices related to the initiation rite generate distinct feelings between professors and students of this career. This is due to the different models that characterize physical education in Argentina. Despite these differing perspectives everybody agrees that the initiation rite leaves a strong personal impact on the individual. The institute and the "tribe's" device are the basic operators for achieving this result.
