In the present communication we reflect on the effects of the incorporation of digital platforms in university education, reviewing the political and technological options that they presuppose and the performativity that they entail in the construction of educational identities.

The platforms would be modifying the ways of producing knowledge and participating in university life through subtle but constant performances that motivate us to question ourselves about the educational identities that are configured in digital interaction.

The attempt to answer these questions led to the development of analysis dimensions to compare the structure of the platforms with the academic device of the public university, considering the economic, political and pedagogical criteria that support them.
