Resumen
ZERDA, H. R. y SOSA, M. B.. Spatial structure of Eucalyptus camaldulensis coverage of the Park Aguirre, Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Quebracho (Santiago del Estero) [online]. 2011, vol.19, n.1, pp.38-45. ISSN 1851-3026.
There is increasing need to manage green infrastructure of cities, because of the environmental services they provide to the urban population. The municipality can find solutions for the management of these areas through GIS techniques and forest surveys. This paper presents a study of the spatial structure of Parque Aguirre (PA) in the province of Santiago del Estero, a semiarid region of Argentina. The results show a modification of the initial structure of the PA. The eucalypts are still dominant in its share of the crown cover. The application of plots based on hemispherical photographs transparency allowed to characterize the degree of tree cover, and are alternatives for environmental monitoring.
