NAVA, Agustín. A new actor in the unionism? Dynamics and characteristics of teacher unionism in the Gran La Plata (1969-1972). Rev. Pilquen. secc. cienc. soc. [online]. 2020, vol.23, n.4, pp.29-44. ISSN 1851-3123.

In this paper we analyze the general characteristics of teachers' labor conflict in the Gran La Plata region between 1969-1972, asking specifically about the causal mechanisms that articulated their militancy, what characteristics and dynamics had the forms of organization and struggle, and what kind of links developed with the other sectors of the labor movement. In particular, we focused on the dynamics presented by the workers' conflict, both from the quantitative and qualitative methods. This aspect will be addressed mainly through the analysis of newspaper sources. Teachers at the primary and secondary levels of education in the region played a central role in the level of conflict, mainly since 1970. Protagonism, which also extended to the national level. However, we will realize some limitations that were evident in its dynamics as a trade union movement.
