Resumen

CAMARERO, Hernán. Partido y sindicato en la Argentina: La actuación de los comunistas en los gremios hasta mediados de los años treinta. Ciclos hist. econ. soc. [online]. 2012, vol.20, n.39, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-3735.

In the 1920s and 1930s, the influence of the Communist Party (PC) on the constitution and / or direction of labor unions in Argentina was increasing. The aim of this paper is to examine this experience, never analyzed specifically in the historiography of the world of labor nor leftist. A typology is proposed to clarify the different kinds of unions more or less influenced by the Communists, and explains the reasons for this. According the hypothesis to be tested, the communism had strongly impacted on industrial unions, where the worst paid manpower and the worst working conditions joined to. The militant form of engagement, the nature of finalist ideology and the advantages of effective and semi-clandestine machinery of the PC were the key to implementing or expanding such unions. These qualities enabled the party to lead the initiative for the association in the field of industrial proletariat more recent, less organized and more politically available. Neither those subjective provisions nor those organizational resources were so decisive in the trade union of transport and services, where some workers were protected by labor laws and perceived higher incomes. This explains the presence and weakness of PC in both branches, supplemented by pre-existing levels of organization in the places reached by the Communists and the type of competition they faced.
