MORAWICKI, Patricia M; RAMOS, Rodolfo  y  MEINARDI, Elsa. Education for health teaching practices in graduates from the biology teacher education programme at UNaM. Rev. cienc. tecnol. [online]. 2011, n.16, pp.5-12. ISSN 1851-7587.

The main objective of the present research work was the analysis of the teaching practices in Health Education (HE) of graduates from the Biology Teacher Education Programme at Universidad Nacional de Misiones (UNaM) belonging to the 1992 curriculum. Its specific objectives were: to establish the possible impact of the area of Health Education in the formation of a group of graduates of the Biology Teacher Education Programme at UNaM through their teaching practice. The methodology was framed in the qualitative logical paradigm, the instruments used consisted in: analysis of documents, surveys, interviews to and observation of classes of teachers who were formed with the said programme. The teachers investigated, graduates with the programme analyzed, selected the contents related to health according to students' demands, because of personal motivation, curriculum prescriptions or emerging situations at the school. In a high percentage, these teachers proposed traditional teaching strategies, like analysis of texts, explanations and question-and-answer techniques. In a few cases, we found an attempt to incorporate strategies which implied a participatory methodology like field work, problem solving, dramatizations, simulations and ludic activities.
