Resumen

GILARDENGHI, Ezequiel; TISSERA, Luis  y  PASTOR, Sebastián. “A rock shelter in memory”:. Runa [online]. 2021, vol.42, n.2, pp.63-82.  Epub 27-Ago-2021. ISSN 1851-9628.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34096/runa.v42i2.7653.

In this paper we made an analysis of the way in which the discourse on the past is constructed, based on the creation and use of a temporality that restricts the use of certain “elements”, but allows and promotes the management of others and their incorporation into practice daily life of the inhabitants of Cerro Colorado, were they intermingle with historically sedimented body and narrative experiences. The different social actors involved in this narrative process include state agents, neighbors of the village, tour guides and, finally, the archaeologists who work in the area. It is concluded that the discourse of the past constructs a temporality that uses certain archaeological sites and excludes others, generating an "incomplete" vision of it. Likewise, we show that this logic responds to interests related to the advertising of the locality as a regional tourist focus.
