Resumen

ALJANATI, Lucía Inés; GONZALEZ, Diana Victoria  y  MAIDANA, Carolina Andrea. "Live working in someone else's land.". Runa [online]. 2021, vol.42, n.2, pp.299-314.  Epub 27-Ago-2021. ISSN 1851-9628.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34096/runa.v42i2.8566.

In this article we analyze the territorial claims of the ava guaraní indigenous community Iwi Imemb´y (Hijos de la Tierra) settled in the Province of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and their forced displacement from the territories of origin to those of migration, in the context of dynamic population flows and tensions around capital and nature. This leads us to affirm their demands and their struggles, evidence the existence of logics of material production and symbolic reproduction that are distant and opposed to the hegemonic -focused on individualism and competition- and to highlight the need for historical reparation and the effective exercise of indigenous rights. Qualitative methodology involved interviews with community referents and participant observation/objective participation in different shared spaces (community/academic), enabling the joint construction of knowledge.

Palabras clave : Ava guaraní; Forced Migration; Territory; Rights; Politics.
