The aims of this article is to make a brief contribution to what is considered as the field of limits and possibilities of the policy of recognition towards indigenous peoples in Argentina, taking a ruling that commits compliance to the Argentine national state before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Its content is based on the experience of more than 20 years of fieldwork and studies in the region by the author.
