In general, the readings of the Argentine intellectual field, during the first period of Peronism (1945-1955), emphasize the idea of a rupture with respect to the principles of the University Reform Movement. The present work attempts to qualify these perspectives, analyzing the extraordinary enterprise of professionalization of the philosophical discipline exhibited in the Notas y Estudios de filosofía journal (published between 1949 and 1954 in Tucumán).

To this end, the social and material conditions that enabled its consolidation in the intellectual field and the reception of the philosophical ideas presented in the journal are analyzed. In particular, we will focus on the readings of the philosophies of Existence that, far removed from the Sartrean-Heideggerian matrix, dominant in the debate of the period, seem to structure a moderate choice within a strongly politicized field.
