Resumen

GRANA, Lorena  y  FERNANDEZ, Marilén. THE ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH IN ARGENTINE ARCHAEOLOGY: ANALYSIS OF ITS DEVELOPMENT IN THE DISCIPLINE THROUGH THE PUBLISHED ARTICLES IN RELACIONES JOURNAL. Relaciones [online]. 2018, vol.43, n.2, pp.1-15. ISSN 0325-2221.

The environmental approach and its related topics have been of main importance in the global scientific research and the Archaeology has not been absent from this trend. To study the development of this topic within the discipline seems to be interesting to see its own evolution inside the history of the Archaeology in our country. In this sense, the bibliometric analysis was applied on 507 archaeological articles published in Relaciones journal between 1937 and 2014. The analysis shows that the environmental approach always has been considered in the archaeological research of our country, although it's greatest growth and dominance it's recorded just after the decade of 1970. However, it has been a concept widely accepted by the dififerent theoretical frameworks, being mainly the Cartesian vision of the environment the dominant in the discipline.
