Resumen
PEY, Laura; SCLAFANI, Micaela y BRAUN, Eugenia. WOVEN CHAKRA: A GENEALOGY OF PRODUCTIVE PRACTICES AND “WAYS OF DOING” IN CUSI CUSI (PUNA DE JUJUY, ARGENTINA). Relaciones [online]. 2023, vol.48, suppl.2, pp.2-2. ISSN 0325-2221.
In this paper we propose to address the modes of relationship between productive practices, their material record and the way in which this is recovered throughout history in an Andean context. According to this, we present the theoretical-methodologicalproposal developedfor the Pajchela and Huayatayoc ravines (Cusi Cusi, Puna de Jujuy), where the agricultural evidence corresponds from at least eight centuries ago to the present. After an analysis of planimetries, architecture and interviews with local inhabitants, it is concluded that the walls of the agricultural fields operate as identity and temporal indicators, consciously retaking and maintaining elements of the past for their construction. These walls are interpreted as the product of a gesture or ontological attitude based on weaving, which is shared and put into action in different areas of the Andean world.
