Resumen

PEREZ ALVAREZ, Gonzalo  y  NARVAEZ, Natalí. Represión estatal y sindical contra la lucha obrera: la huelga de Hipasam (1975) y Guilford (1976). Sierra Grande y Comodoro Rivadavia, Patagonia argentina. Sociohistórica [online]. 2022, n.49, e157. ISSN 1852-1606.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/18521606e157.

In this investigation, we analyze two strikes developed in the Argentine Patagonia, between 1975 and 1976. These processes of struggle shocked the cities and regions in which took place, involving other labour groups and suffering a harsh repressive response from the State. It had the support of the union leaderships that formally represented the workers in struggle. The article proposes relevant debates for the recent history of Argentina and its historiography: the role of union leader in the repression against the struggling worker movement, the lines of continuity between the constitutional government before 1976 and the dictatorship, and the regional specificities of the mechanisms implemented by the repressive system. We use various sources: press, official documents, interviews and bibliographic survey, among others.
