D'ODORICO, María Gabriela. Ethical issues in social research in the new technological order. SaberEs [online]. 2014, vol.6, n.1, pp.00-00. ISSN 1852-4418.
Reflective ethics is a way of thinking about the decisions made regarding the investigation, of the production of knowledge and intervention on the population. It is a dimension of philosophy that provides a look to think the complexity of the epistemological field of the social sciences, now in full changing. The complexity of current scientific knowledge production is no longer possible to separate pure knowledge of their applications, a fact that leads to more specific designation used as the notion of technoscience. I understand that a new ethical dimension in social research is, first, to outline new epistemological problems that require a transdisciplinary approach. At the same time, and on the other hand, the ethical dimension shows the need of thinking in collective decisions that include various institutional and population sectors committed to the occurrence of the problem in question. These two hypothesis span the whole of this essay in which some queries and indications for possible answers are presented. This work is a synthesis of previous research of broader scope.
