Resumen

BUSCH, Silvia Inés. División interurbana de trabajo de Nestléen la Argentina. Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2022, vol.31, n.1, pp.4-6. ISSN 1852-4265.

In the context of globalization, the action of large economic groups disrupts the dynamics of territories as a whole. As the division of labor deepens in an area, cities tend to grow and differentiate forming an interurban division of labor. In Argentina, since the 1980s, companies oriented to the production of fast foods have succeeded in expanding and diversifying the production and consumption of these foods in the country. The aim of this article is to analyze technical-organizational innovations in Nestlé´s fast food production and their relationship with the dynamics in a portion of the urban network in Argentina. To do so, we study the transformations in the links between the company and the built environment in which it is inserted, both in the metropolis of Buenos Aires and in Magdalena, an urban conglomeration in the province of Buenos Aires, as a result of the group’s technical-organizational innovations.
