This article explores the way Un argentino en Galicia. Crónicas de la aldea (1934) by Gustavo del Río and Aguafuertes gallegas (1935) by Roberto Arlt propose different literary procedures to affirm or reformulate various existing representations in Argentina about Galicia and Galicians. From different points of view and narrative strategies, the two travel books display figurations that contribute to delineate stereotypes of Galicians in the Argentine cultural imaginary.
