This paper reviews 35 years of action by the team led by one of the authors of this paper, as part of the Archaeology Division of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Museum, National University of La Plata and the National Scientific and Technical Research Council. This group mainly investigates the way of life of the first settlers of Patagonia in the Central Plateau of the province of Santa Cruz. The political, ideological, and epistemological positioning of the work team is described. In addition, the construction of its theoretical-methodological line in the framework of extension and university teaching is exposed. Dialogue is proposed as the articulating axis that founds the pedagogical and scientific proposal, oriented to social communication and the co-construction of knowledge. Finally, the focus is on three of their communicative practices: Archaeology workshops, literary resources, and digital communication.
