SANABRIA, Eduardo A.; QUIROGA, L. B. y ACOSTA, J. C.. Temporary activity of Lleptodactylus mystacinus (Anura: Leptodactylidae) in the department of Valle Fertil, San Juan, Argentina. Multequina [online]. 2007, vol.16, n.1, pp.65-71. ISSN 1852-7329.
The objective of the present work was to know the temporary activity of Leptodactylus mystacinus by means of acoustic registrations, for that was used a recorder connected to a programmable temporizer, activated during one minute per hour during 7 days. The microclimatic data were measured in January of 2005, these data were: air temperature at one meter high, the water temperature , and the intensity of the wind by means of a qualitative scale. The covering of the sky was measured in eighth. Also, presence or absence of the precipitation was recorded. We observe that the most quantity of hours of activity was before and after the rainfalls. The squared Chi test doesn't throw significant differences in the quantity of hours of activity among days, being the call average of 3.42 hours per day. L. mystacinus used the time period between19 to 24 hs, with an activity pick between the 20 and 22 hs. There was not significant relationship between the activity and the variables climatic measures.
