Resumen

HERSHTEIN, LUCAS ORO. The Neoplatonic Sources of the Book of Wellsprings (Kitab al-Yanabl‘) of'Aba Yafüb al-Sijistam: An Introduction to theReception of Plotinus’ andProclus’ Texts in IsmaW Thought. Rev. latinoam. filos. [online]. 2021, vol.47, n.1, pp.61-70. ISSN 1852-7353.  http://dx.doi.org/10.36446/rlf2021220.

The Book of Wellsprings (Kitab al-YanabV) of Abü Ya'qüb al-Sijistani constituted one of the channels of transmission of Plotinus and Proclus’ texts, or at least of their ideas and vocabulary, to the Isma'ili inte- llectual world. Due to its search for equivalents in the Quran for the philo- sophical lexicon, the construction of Islamic analogies for the philosophical notions and the development of an Isma'ili approach to the main metaphysical problems inherited from the classical texts, the Kitab al-YanabV is an example of the middle way represented by the Isma'iliyyah between the philosophers and the theologians. This paper introduces the Kitab al-YanabV in context, also presenting a preliminary analysis of its philosophical sources.

Palabras clave : Isma'iliyyah.
