This research explores the territorial transformation processes of the metropolitan foothills of Mendoza, the tensions they cause and the challenges faced by food producers located in urban-rural border areas. The results obtained from the integration and analysis of secondary (1897 to 2010) and primary (2018 and 2020) data highlight the importance of recognizing pastoral presences on the metropolitan edge, as well as the set of rural-urban articulations and the diversity of actors that converge there in the face of the advance of real estate capital.
