Resumen
FERNANDEZ PEYCHAUX, Diego. The common in republicanism by Felipe Guaman Poma de Ayala. Cuyo-anu. filos. argent. am. [online]. 2023, vol.40, n.1, pp.91-128. Epub 07-Sep-2023. ISSN 1853-3175.
The article presents how Guaman Poma de Ayala uses the republican lexicon of the Hispanic Monarchy in his Primer nueva corónica y buen gobierno of 1615 to defend the autonomy of the Andes. This work details his strategy of resisting the conquest was to maintain the similarity with Castilian culture, but at the same time to reaffirm the differences between political systems that were not comparable. In his chronicle, the political and material autonomy of the commons (and not of individuals) requires, whether in the Andes or in Castile, the continuity of political and economic practices that he projects into the present from the Andean past.
