The text proposes to consider human development from the allegorical image of the view, not only from the multiple perspectives of analysis and critique on development, but from a socio-historical perspective. The article also expresses different dialogues with related concepts, which express the contingent epistemological statute of the human sciences without being able to exclude other forms of knowledge or disciplinary features of social sciences and humanities. The text proposes a reflection on the view, in which the concern about language as a means of questioning plays a key role, and in particular understandings and perspectives of human development does a parody of that question posed by Horkeimer and Adorno on what light hides, it serves to refer the consideration of human development. All this, without dwelling on the controversial concept of the meaning of development, from its conceptual crossing discourse ways, enabling the consideration of the notion of epistemic location.
