Within the process of globalization, there are relevant aspects to take into account, as indocumented migrants who come from poor countries. Related with this issue, El puerto tells the story of a young man from Gabon, who tries to cross illegally from Le Havre to England, where his mother lives. In the aim of having a better life, colective action and neighbours solidarity to help him are outstanding. Contrary to rejection, racism and discrimination materialized by the society whose intention is to expel him.

This episode is an excuse to visualize and analyze one of then most emblematic conflicto of the current era such as migrations generated by political and socio-economic problems, and their transnational consequences.

In this globalized world, transformed in an unified place, in which communication, finances and means of transpor are freely interchanged, we think that it´s a paradox the fact that the very same freedom is not applied to the people above mentioned, due to the fact that there strong restrictions and prohibitions which prevent and repress their international movements.
