People and environment make up an interactive, meaningful and participative relationship. It is possible to this interaction to have several diachronic morphological and narrative dimensions following the proposal of Ganoe and Pokropek. The aim is to understand space transformation as a creator of a new and augmented reality through graphic analysis that allows visualizing the spatial evolution of one of the historical references of the neighborhood 'Altivo Ambateño' of Ambato city, known as the Plaza 'Urbina ' Historical agents mark the birth of the neighborhood 'Altivo Ambateño' and shape its morphology for more than a century: the space was born in a vacant lot surrounded by the train line in 1906. After some years it is surrounded by tile and adobe low height houses, in 1920 (La Hora, 2009); later, it became a refuge for those fleeing from the rubble that fell from the buildings in 1949. Later, it became a covered market in 1987 and in 2009 it became an underground market and a civic plaza. Currently there are plans to redesign it as a market at a high level and civic plaza (La Hora, 2018). Thus, these different spatial transformations could be related to the memory of the city and suggest meanings of the place during each period.
