The present article attempts an analysis and consideration of the role played by fashion and the practice of adorning oneself as a political act as well as a means of protest by encompassing. The following topics from the role of historical suffragettes and the arrival of the revolutionary Coco Chanel to the present moment with Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director for the Dior brand and the first woman to head the firm , who decided to launch her first collection on the catwalk under the motto “We should all be feminist”, taken from an essay by the nigerian activist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Starting with a tour of diverse feminist currents throughout history, an attempt will be made to connect fashion, power and politics as alles in channeling social change.
