In the course of little more than a century, the comic has been changing both its formats and its definitions. The 21st century finds it largely overflowing beyond its supposed essential characteristics in favor of new media, readings, rewrites and unexpected uses. The volume will be divided into three axes: the first deals with intertextuality, continuity, and metafiction. The second, about new spaces, formats, and materials. Finally, the third axis focuses on what we can call “amphibious artist”. The dossier concludes with an interview with the Spanish author Ana Galvañ.
