Plaça dels Ángels, informally known as MACBA square, is currently a worldwide hot spot of street skateboarding. As a public space inserted in an area of great complexity, its use has raised community reactions against it. However, if one understands that this area's identity has been built by the skaters' use, it is interesting to investigate what is the role of the plaza's spatial configuration as a result of this ephemeral use, and what kind of spatial changes have been caused by the persistence of this practice over time.
