In recent decades, the production of residential space in Latin America has reflected transformations derived from the intensification of social inequalities and the processes of commodification of urban development. The article investigates the transformations of peripheral territories that have occurred since the location of public housing projects and their physical-spatial expression in the city of Córdoba .Argentina) and seeks to know how socio-territorial inequalities are expressed in urban edges. The methodological strategy is quantitative and comparative, incorporating the processing and analysis of information from primary and secondary sources. The results invite us to reflect on the process of commodification of urban development, in the environments where social housing is located, and to understand the role that urban externalities play in the living conditions of the inhabitants, reading this from/since the structure of opportunities present in each location.
