In this article we will try to observe the changes in the Argentinean Society through the analysis of the catholic believers, who, at the beginning of the 21st century, refer their faith to the Roman Catholic Church without submitting completely to its doctrine. Considering the statistical information of the First National Survey of Religious Attitudes and Beliefs, we will analyze the practices that are private or projected to the public space. Th us, we will establish a catholic believers typology that will help us to understand the diversity within the majority religion in Argentina: congregants, devotees, institutional, domestic, free-thinkers and secular.
