In this article the relationship between religious/ancestral beliefs, medical practices and bodies of indigenous women. We focus, first, on how religious beliefs influence over the medical practice of health professionals about sexuality and bodies of women of different indigenous communities; secondly, how also the ancestral knowledge of ethnic communities pass decisions on health care, reproduction and sexuality of women. The evidence results of research work carried out during 2012-2013 in the provinces of Salta, Misiones, Chaco and Formosa which were conducted in-depth interviews and participant observation with women qom, guarani, wichis and effectors health of The Primary Care Centers Health and Hospitals.
